Kremlin gives no comment on media reports about US plans to supply more arms to Europe

The issue of Russia’s reaction to the US plans to deploy additional armaments in Europe are within the competence of the Russian Defense Ministry, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Wednesday when asked to comment on the related media reports.

"Our military, I’m certain, will comment one way or another on this situation, if they deem it necessary. This issue is within the competence of our Defense Ministry," the Kremlin spokesman said.

A number of previous media reports suggested with reference to Lieutenant General Ben Hodges, the US Army Europe commander, that the United States Army planned to send more armaments to Europe with keeping the number of US troops there at the same level.
