Kremlin rejects idea of imposing any 'rules' on Russia for negotiations on Ukraine

Dmitry Peskov also noted that the statement by Ukraine’s top diplomat was "absolutely dissonant with the codified ban on the Ukrainian leader to engage with Russia"

MOSCOW, March 29. /TASS/. Russia will not accept the imposition of any "rules" toward negotiations on resolving the Ukraine conflict, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.

Commenting on a remark by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba who shared Kiev’s vision of the path to peace, Peskov said: "We will not accept any rules that we would have to follow or that somebody else would work out."

The Russian presidential spokesman also noted that the statement by Ukraine’s top diplomat was "absolutely dissonant with the codified ban on the Ukrainian leader to engage with Russia" as he recommended seeking any further comment on the issue from the Russian Foreign Ministry.
