OSCE must condemn Ukrainian strikes on Russian cities — envoy

According to Alexander Lukashevich, "the OSCE leadership is once again displaying a biased approach"

VIENNA, March 18. /TASS/. The leadership of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) must immediately condemn the indiscriminate strikes by Ukrainian forces on Russian cites, Russian Permanent Representative to the OSCE Alexander Lukashevich said.

"For eight years, the OSCE leadership has de facto ignored the lives of the people of Donbass that were shelled by Ukrainian neo-Nazis. Today, they are applying the same scheme to all residents of Russian cities, which the special military operation is being conducted in order to protect," Lukashevich said in a statement, published on the Russian mission’s Telegram channel.

The diplomat noted that the Russian side calls on the OSCE leadership, first and foremost, the current chairman, Maltese Foreign Minister Ian Borg, and Secretary General Helga Schmid, "to immediately condemn the intense indiscriminate strikes on Russian cities being carried out by the Kiev regime militants."

"The OSCE leadership is once again displaying a biased approach; it continues to separate people into categories and to demonstratively turn a blind eye to the victims of strikes carried out by the Kiev regime militants against the residents of Russian cities," the envoy said.

According to the diplomat, the OSCE leadership’s continued silence and inaction "would mean not only an encouragement of the Kiev regime’s attacks against Russian civilians, but their personal responsibility for a further military escalation."
