Senate speaker calls on UN to address Western interference in Russian election

According to Valentina Matviyenko, Russia will bring to light information about the West’s coordinated actions during shelling attacks on civilians in Russian territory, as well as "about the terror attacks committed by the Kiev Nazi regime led by its patrons and sponsors"

MOSCOW, March 18. /TASS/. Russia will make public data on foreign interference in its electoral system, including by the United States, and insists that such meddling be addressed by the United Nations, Russian Federation Council (upper house of parliament, or "senate") Speaker Valentina Matviyenko said.

"Naturally, we will aggregate this data and will inform international parliamentary organizations and parliaments around the world. And, I think, that this topic of the most flagrant type of interference in the national election in Russia will be brought before the United Nations for discussion," she said.

"We believe that information about interference in Russia’s domestic affairs, in its electoral system should be made public globally, including in the United States so that the American people know where their taxpayer money goes, to sponsor the so-called promotion of democracy," she noted.

According to Matviyenko, Russia will bring to light information about the West’s coordinated actions during shelling attacks on civilians in Russian territory, as well as "about the terror attacks committed by the Kiev Nazi regime led by its patrons and sponsors." "These facts should also be released to the public," she stressed.
