Putin to meet with defense minister soon

The president said that he plans to meet with Chief of General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Valery Gerasimov as well

MOSCOW, March 18. /TASS/. Russian presidential race frontrunner and incumbent President Vladimir Putin plans to meet with Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu and Chief of General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Valery Gerasimov very soon.

When asked by a reporter about his plans, Putin said: "I will have a conversation with the chief of the general staff and the defense minister."

Earlier, Kremlin spokesman said the Russian leader has no time to celebrate his election victory. His conversation with the defense chief is expected to take place in the early hours of Monday.
