West to be held responsible in case of conflict with Russia — deputy envoy to OSCE

"There will be no winners in such a conflict, at least in the West," Maxim Buyakevich said

VIENNA, March 7. /TASS/. The Western countries will bear full responsibility for negative consequences in case of a conflict with Russia, Russia’s deputy permanent representative to the OSCE, Maxim Buyakevich said at a meeting of its Permanent Council.

He warned that the West would have to pay a high price for "its unscrupulousness in choosing means in pursuit of its goals and for ignoring legitimate Russian security interests," as well as "attempts to hold back the development of our country and weaken it by waging a proxy war against it."

"By systematically bringing NATO's direct clash with Russia closer, they bear full responsibility for absolutely all the negative consequences of such an outcome. There will be no winners in such a conflict, at least in the West," Buyakevich said.
