Cuban president to start visit to Russia on November

In Moscow, Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel will meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin

HAVANA, November 1. /TASS/. Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel will start his official three-day visit to Russia on November 1. After the visit to Russia, he will continue his tour in China, Vietnam, North Korea and Laos.

In Moscow, Diaz-Canel will meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko and Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia.

The talks between the Cuban delegation and Russian leadership will focus on developing bilateral economic cooperation. Havana hopes to give a new impetus to several joint projects in industry and trade, as well as in healthcare and tourism. The Cuban leadership is particularly interested in attracting Russian investment, including in modernization of industries, energy facilities and railroads.
