MOSCOW, June 28. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo may meet in the coming two weeks, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov told reporters on Thursday.
"The meeting is being worked out, we understand the difficulties for the sides to find spare windows in the top diplomats’ schedules," Ryabkov said. "We made the proposals and we are waiting for an answer."
Speaking on whether this meeting may be held in early July, the deputy minister said there is little time left. "The meeting will take place in the coming two weeks," he said.
Earlier, US National Security Adviser John Bolton said this meeting could be held ahead of the Russian-US summit. Moscow and Washington are expected to simultaneously announce the date and the venue of the meeting between Russian and US Presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump on Thursday.
