KIEV, February, 16. /TASS/. A 26-year-old Ukrainian man Sergey has obtained the chance to go on a mission to Mars participating in the Dutch project Mars One. According to the local mass media he is among 100 people selected of 165 thousand candidates.
The selected 50 men and 50 women will have to pass other tests and finally only 24 people will be able to leave for Mars and create a settlement there.
Mars One is a private project created by Bas Lansdorp that includes creation of a settlement and TV broadcasting of everything happening there in a reality show format. The mission is planned to start in 2024.
