MOSCOW, May 15. /ITAR-TASS/. The chief designer of the Ilyushin aircraft company, Viktor Livanov, has died, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin said on his Twitter account on Thursday, May 15.
“Ilyushin Design Bureau General Designer Viktor Vladimirovich Livanov died today after a long illness. My sincere condolences to his family and friends,” Rogozin said.
Livanov was born on September 17, 1943 in Khabarovsk, Far East. He graduated from the Moscow Institute of Aviation Technology and joined Ilyushin Company in 1967.
