KRASNAYA POLYANA, January 03, 14:42 /ITAR-TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin, who is in the Black Sea resort of Sochi these days, intends to take the opportunity and carry out a thorough inspection of Olympic facilities and infrastructure ahead of the Olympic Games that Sochi will host in February, Kremlin spokesman Dmiry Peskov said on Friday.
He said all officials responsible for preparations for the Olympics with Deputy Prime Minister Dmiry Kozak at the head were also in Sochi.
“Within the next few days, the president will thoroughly examine all facilities of the mountain and coastal clusters, and will once again watch the procedure of preparations for the ceremonies to open the Olympic and Paralympic games rehearsed at the Fisht Stadium,” Peskov said. He said the president planned to concentrate on those facilities where work was still unfinished.
