BEIRUT, October 26 (Itar-Tass) - Iran should be invited to take part in the peaceful conference on Syria in Geneva, U.N./LAS Special Envoy for Syria Lakhdar Brahimi said.
“Iran’s involvement in the talks on the Syrian settlement is natural. It is indispensable and useful,” Brahimi told a news conference in Tehran on Saturday.
The U.N./LAS envoy met Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Zarif. The diplomat arrived in Tehran from Doha. During the Middle East tour, he visited Egypt, Jordan, Iraq, Kuwait, Oman and Turkey.
