ABU DHABI, August 15 (Itar-Tass) - The United Arab Emirates is one of the first countries to have fully backed Egypt’s new authorities in their efforts to restore law and order. As the WAM news agency has said, the UAE Foreign Ministry has issued a statement to declare understanding of the sovereign measures the Egyptian government has been taking after demonstrating restraint and self-control for a long period of time.

It is deplorable that political extremist groups in Egypt have been so insistent in using rhetoric in order to provoke violence and undermine public interests, the UAE Foreign Ministry said.

The UAE called upon the Egyptians for national reconciliation, urged an end to violence and bloodshed and expressed its readiness to continue extending assistance to Egypt.

After the Egyptian military ousted Islamist President Mohamed Morsi the UAE offered Cairo three billion dollars in aid for restoring the Egyptian economy.
