MOSCOW, December 13 (Itar-Tass) — The internal Syrian opposition is ready for a dialogue with the government and does not stipulate President Bashar Assad's stepping down as a pre-condition, Qadri Jamil, the leader of a Syrian opposition delegation and representative of the Popular Front for Change and Liberation, told Itar-Tass here on Thursday upon arriving in Moscow by air.
Such a dialogue is simply essential, for it is the only way out of the crisis, Jamil said. It is necessary to succeed in reaching a dialogue: the situation is ripe for that, he pointed out.
The Popular Front for Change and Liberation, Jamil said, is ready for a dialogue with the government. In response to a question as to whether Assad should resign in order to bring about the start of such a dialogue, Jamil emphasized that the Movement does not set pre-conditions.
