Bomb threat saying Moscow and suburban malls, cinemas booby-trapped proven false

According to earlier reports, an unknown person claimed to have booby-trapped about 25 facilities in Moscow and the suburbs, mainly cinemas and shopping malls

MOSCOW, January 31. /TASS/. The police have checked all "mined" facilities in Moscow and the Moscow Region and found no dangerous objects there, a law enforcement source told TASS.

"The police and dog handlers searched all facilities in Moscow and the Moscow Region which had received bomb threats. No explosive devices and explosive objects were found," the source said.

It was earlier reported that unidentified people "mined’ about 25 facilities in Moscow and the Moscow Region, these were mainly cinemas and shopping malls. These reports were coming as mail-outs. According to preliminary information, reports came from Ukrainian territory.

During the check about 2,000 people were cleared from the building. In particular, 800 people were evacuated from two shopping malls in Reutov and Kolomna, Moscow Region. People were evacuated from the shopping mall Rio on Leninsky Prospekt, Moscow, and the study process was disrupted in the Moscow Technological University. Among the "mined" facilities were shopping centers Yerevan Plaza, Yevropark and cinema network Cinema Star. Some Russian regions started receiving mail-outs with bomb treats at the end of last week.
