MOSCOW, January 14. /TASS/. A gas explosion rocked a residential building in the city of Shakhty in Russia’s Rostov Region, a source in the emergency services informed TASS.

"The ninth and eighth floors of the nine-floor building have collapsed. We are currently verifying the information on the injured," the source said.

According to the source, the building was constructed in 1993 and had a gas line. There are 72 apartments in total. Emergency services have been deployed to the blast site.
