HANOI, March 23. /TASS/. Russia expects that a representative delegation of Vietnamese businesses will attend the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) and the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF), Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said after talks with his Vietnamese counterpart Pham Binh Minh on Friday.
"We will encourage direct contacts between business circles of Russia and Vietnam on a reciprocal basis. We also expect a representative delegation of Vietnamese businesses at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum and the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok," Lavrov said.
Russia’s top diplomat stressed that both countries are interested in boosting investments and trade. "We are sure that the recently created working group for priority and investment projects will contribute to this," Lavrov said.
The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum will be held on May 24-26. The fourth Eastern Economic Forum will be held in Vladivostok, in the Russian Far East, on September 11-13.
