The country managed to compensate for $6.1 bln out of the losses in 10 months of 2017, Ukraine's Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade Natalia Mikolskaya said

KIEV, December 21. /TASS/. Ukrainian export losses from severing traditional trade ties with Russia have come to over $31 bln in 2012 - 2016, Ukraine's Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade Natalia Mikolskaya said on Thursday.

"We lost $31.4 bln of Ukrainian export from 2012 to 2016," the official said. Losses occurred due to the closure of the Russian market and complicated access to the markets of Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan and partly China, she said. "We managed to compensate for $6.1 bln out of the losses in 10 months of 2017," Mikolskaya said. This achievement was thanks to market players and not the government, she added.
