Russia’s economy to grow 1.5-2% in 2018 — expert

The forecast for 2017 remains unchanged - growth by 1.8% of GDP, Alexei Kudrin noted

MOSCOW, December 19. /TASS/. The Russian economy is projected to show growth of 1.5-2% in 2018, Chief Executive of the Center for Strategic Research Alexei Kudrin said on Tuesday.

"We assume more fundamental factors. I would say that the next year would be at this year level in terms of the economic potential, in absence or with delayed structural reforms. <...> We expect 1.5-2% [growth of GDP]," Kudrin said.

The forecast for 2017 remains unchanged - growth by 1.8% of GDP, the expert noted.

The Bank of Russia predicts that the Russian economy will grow by 1.5-2% in 2018, Central Bank chief Elvira Nabiullina said earlier.
