Russia adapted itself to sanctions — Kremlin spokesman

"Take our farmers, our villagers - they will be very disappointed if those sanctions are lifted," Peskov said

MOSCOW, December 14. /TASS/. Russia has completed the process of adapting itself to sanctions and has embarked on the path of growth, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in an interview with the Rossiya 24 TV channel.

"We are living in the atmosphere of restrictions and sanctions. But at the same time we have managed to turn them into something useful, we were adjusting our economy and have already completed the process of getting used to life in those conditions," the spokesman said, adding that negative economic trends have already been reversed in the majority of sectors of the Russian economy.

He named agriculture among economic sectors that show solid growth.

"Take our farmers, our villagers - they will be very disappointed if those sanctions are lifted," Peskov said.
