France’s minister for economy and finance to visit Russia on December 18-19 - ambassador

He will visit Yamal and then will take part in a meeting of the Russian-French council on economic, financial, industrial and trade issues in Moscow

YEKATERINBURG, December 3. /TASS/. France’s Minister for the Economy and Finance Bruno Le Maire will visit Russia on December 18-19, French Ambassador to Russia Sylvie Bermann told TASS on Sunday.

"The minister will pay a visit to Russia on December 18-19. First, he will visit Yamal and then will take part in a meeting of the Russian-French council on economic, financial, industrial and trade issues in Moscow," she said.

According to the French diplomat, the minister will have talks with Russian Minister of Economic Development Maxim Oreshkin and may meet with other officials. She did not rule out that the visit could yield a number of contracts.

Earlier, Bermann said in an interview with TASS that a meeting of the Russian-French council on economic, financial, industrial and trade issues would be held before the yearend and would be co-chaired by Oreshkin and Le Maire.
