ARKHANGELSK, March 22. /TASS/. 60% of goods, which are made in the Arkhangelsk region for use in the Arctic zone, are unique on the Russian market, press service of the regional administration said on Wednesday.
The state commission on the Arctic’s development published a catalogue of high-technology products and services for the Arctic zone. The catalogue is in four books of about 450 pages. Every book contains a list of products and services from one federal district.
"The registrar of goods produced in this region contains about 30 items: from the defense industry’s products to special nutrition products," the press service quoted the region’s Governor Igor Orlov. "Our products are unique: 60% of them do not have Russian-or foreign-made similar products on the Russian market, and another 40% - in the world."
For example, the governor continued, the Prirazlomnaya first in the world ice-resistant oil platform, and other platform, which can be used on the Arctic seas’ shelf. The list also has herbal-based food products for Russian cosmonauts working on the International Space Station; pharmaceutical and medical products, cosmetics, motor-towers, boats, and many more.
