MOSCOW, January 9. /TASS/. Gazprom set a new record of daily gas export to non-CIS countries and delivered 621.8 mln cubic meters of natural gas to consumers, the Russian gas holding said on Monday.
"Gazprom set a new record of daily gas export to non-CIS countries and the third one from the year beginning - 621.8 mln cubic meters. The all-time high figure was reached on Sunday, when gas consumption by foreign consumers usually declines to weekly minimum," the company said.
The previous peak of 615.5 million cubic meters of gas daily was recorded on January 6.
Gas supplies over the Nord Stream gas pipeline stayed at the level of 165.2 mln cubic meters per day for five days in succession (January 4-8), 10% higher than the design capacity of the gas pipeline, Gazprom said.
Gas deliveries to non-CIS countries surged 12.5% year-on-year in 2016 to more than 179.3 bln cubic meters, Chief Executive of Gazprom Alexei Miller said earlier.
