Russia’s gas production up 3.6% in August 2016

MOSCOW, October 3. /TASS/. Russia’s gas output increased by 3.6% in August 2016 year-on-year, according to October publication of the Monitoring of Russia’s economic climate released on Monday.

All in all, Russia’s gas production amounted to 45.3 bln cubic meters, the country’s biggest gas producer Gazprom increased its share in the total production volume by 6.5%.

As was reported earlier Gazprom adjusted its gas output forecast for 2016 to 417.2 bln cubic meters, a 0.3% decrease compared with last year and a 7.8% decrease versus initially planned production.

Earlier Member of Gazprom’s Executive Board Vsevolod Cherepanov said that the company would adjust its 2016 production plan of 452.4 bln cubic meters of gas, but did not expect gas production to be below last year’s level of 418 bln cubic meters.

According to the Monitoring, Gazprom planned to produce 452.45 bln cubic meters of gas in 2016, which is 8% higher than the actual gas production level of 2015.
