BRICS New Development Bank to explore ways of cooperation with Russia

Vice President of the Bank Zhu Xian says plans to explore new opportunities of cooperating at the Eastern Economic Forum

BEIJING, August 30. /TASS/. BRICS New Development Bank will explore new opportunities of cooperating with Russia and other countries at the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) in Vladivostok, Vice President of the Bank Zhu Xian told TASS on Tuesday.

"I am going to take part in the second Eastern Economic Forum and attend sessions of the forum in order to understand the economic potential of the Far East of Russia," Zhu Xian said. "My main purpose of the upcoming trip is to look for infrastructure projects, which the bank could support," he added.

One more purpose of the trip is to "try to understand the possible ways of cooperation at regional level between Russia, China, the Republic of Korea and Japan. We hope to contribute to the development of the region," the banker said.

"Third, we about to hold a series of meetings with representatives of Russian regions in order to find new opportunities for cooperation with the Russian side," Zhu Xian added.

Russia will host the second Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok on September 2-3.
