Russia offers to construct two NPP units in Slovakia — minister

Russia's minister of economic development says Russia is supplying 100% of nuclear fuel for Slovakia, the construction of two NPP units is under consideration

BRATISLAVA, May 24. /TASS/. Russia suggests building two units of a nuclear power plant to Slovakia, Minister of Economic Development Alexey Ulyukayev said on Tuesday.

"We are supplying 100% of nuclear fuel for Slovakia and discussed various guarantees for continuity of such supplies. Furthermore, the issue of additional investments and construction of two more units of the nuclear power plant by Rosatom was discussed. Both nuclear power plants in Slovakia are working on Soviet model reactors and we are ready to build two new units for one of them," Ulyukayev said.

Russia "offered terms; the tender has not yet been announced," the minister added.
