DUBAI, February 21. /TASS/. Russia will supply its agricultural products to Arab countries via the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Russia’s Deputy Minister of Agriculture Sergei Levin told TASS on sidelines of the Gulfood-20016 exhibition in Dubai on Sunday.
"UAE re-exports 80% of products supplied here, thus we consider Dubai as a most important strategic direction to promote our agricultural products in the Arab world," he said.
On Sunday, the Russian delegation led by Minister of Agriculture Alexander Tkachev, arrived in Dubai. The minister will have three meetings: with UAE’s minister of agriculture, the UAE’s minister of economy and with Dubai’s minister of economy, the Russian deputy minister said.
Russia participates for the first time in the Gulfood exhibition this year, where it will present agricultural companies at a national stand.
