Russia’s terms on gas price do not require coordination with Ukraine — Energy Minister

The decision on discount was taken by the government, Gazprom will issue its invoice to Ukraine taking into account this price, Russia’s Energy Minister Alexander Novak says

VIENNA, June 30. /TASS/. Russia’s terms on gas price and discount do not require any coordination with Ukraine, Russia’s Energy Minister Alexander Novak told reporters on Tuesday.

"The decision on discount was taken by the government. Gazprom will issue its invoice to Ukraine taking into account this price. No coordination is required from Ukraine," he said.

Russia set a gas discount for Ukraine at $40 per 1,000 cubic meters for the third quarter of 2015. With the discount the gas price for Ukraine will amount to $247.18 per 1,000 cubic meters. The same price was earlier set for the second quarter.
