Final price of gas for Ukraine will amount $247 per 1,000 cubic meters — PM Medvedev

Further decisions on the price of gas for Ukraine will depend on the world prices and the situation in the economy, Medvedev said at a meeting with Energy Minister and the head of Gazprom

MOSCOW, June 29. / TASS / The final price of gas for Ukraine will amount $247 per 1,000 cubic meters, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said at a meeting with Energy Minister Alexander Novak and the head of Gazprom Alexey Miller on Monday.

"The prices for oil and subsequently for gas have greatly subsided, so the discount will be $40 per 1,000 cubic meters," said Medvedev.

Further decisions on the price of gas for Ukraine will depend on the world prices and the situation in the economy, Medvedev said.

Until the end of June, the price of gas for Ukraine amounts to $247.18 per 1,000 cubic meters, and takes into the $100 discount on export duties, offered by the Russian government. When the gas prices are below $330, the discount amounts to 30% of the gas prices.
