Delays under Skovorodino-Mohe pipeline capacity expansion project are small — Transneft VP

This is due to commonly known changes in the economic situation, complicated interaction with allied suppliers, certain challenges experienced by some subcontractors, and other obvious matters

BEIJING, March 25. /TASS/. The delay under the Skovorodino-Mohe pipeline throughput capacity expansion project is small and not critical, Transneft Vice President Mikhail Margelov said on Wednesday at the Sino-Russian Oil and Gas Forum.

"We have some delays in our several construction projects. This is due to commonly known changes in the economic situation, complicated interaction with allied suppliers, certain challenges experienced by some our subcontractors, and other obvious matters," Margelov said.

"However, all the schedule delays are not critical. So I think no dramatic misses of deadlines are taking place but some minor postponements occur," he added.

TASS reported earlier the Russian pipeline operator Transneft plans to further expand its East Siberia — Pacific Ocean oil pipeline and build the branch pipeline to China.
