MOSCOW, November 20. /TASS/. VTB Bank, Russia’s second largest lender by assets, has requested 250 billion rubles ($5.4 billion) in subordinated loans from the National Welfare Fund, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said on Thursday.
Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev will hold a meeting on Thursday to discuss this issue, the finance minister said.
“VTB has asked for 250 billion rubles. We’ll consider this issue today,” Siluanov said.
