Russian software developers should cooperate with BRICS colleagues — minister

The Ministry of Communications is ready to be a platform for political support of this dialogue, its head, Nikolay Nikiforov says

MOSCOW, November 13. /TASS/. Russian software developers should cooperate with colleagues from BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa), Minister of Communications Nikolay Nikiforov said on Thursday.

“Primarily, I call on Russian developers to look about this unthinkable geopolitical, economic and export possibility. It is necessary to build up our work on critical software types in close cooperation with the colleagues from the BRICS countries,” Nikiforov said.

The ministry is ready “to be a platform for political support of this dialogue”, he said.

The decisions, which will be worked out by Russia, will be synchronized with those that the BRICS colleagues made, Nikiforov said.

“Each country should have its choice. Today there is no practically such choice. The demonopolization of the market is a difficult way. We’ll demonopolize this market with the BRICS colleagues,” he said, adding that Russia would preside in BRICS in the next two years.
