Court rules against allowing IC to recover $5 billion from Sistema

MOSCOW, October 9. /TAS/S/. The Moscow Arbitration Court ruled on Thursday against allowing Russia’s Investigative Committee to join the lawsuit filed by the General Prosecutor’s Office against the holding company Sistema owned by billionaire Vladimir Yevtushenkov.

Therefore, the court will not consider the Investigative Committee’s claim in the Bashneft case to recover about 190 billion rubles ($4.7 billion) from Sistema and its subsidiary Sistema Invest in favor of the state.
