TOMSK, September 12. /ITAR-TASS/. Russian authorities will not impose any limits on imports of medicines, Deputy Healthcare Minister Sergei Krayevoi told reporters Friday, commenting on a recent government’s initiative to give local drugs producers a priority over foreign ones.
“This is a document with the main goal to stimulate domestic pharmaceutical production rather than limiting access of any producers except Russian ones to the market. That is why, prohibition of foreign medicines’ imports is completely ruled out,” Krayevoi said.
