No plans in Ukraine to leave CIS free trade agreement — official

KIEV, August 06. /ITAR-TASS/. Ukraine is not going to leave the CIS free trade agreement, the Ukrainian government Commissioner for European integration Valery Pyatnitsky said on Wednesday.

Trade between Ukraine and Belarus “contracts insignificantly”, and “Kiev appropriately reacts to measures Minsk adopts in relation to Ukrainian goods”.

“Selective” sanitary and phytosanitary restrictions Russia imposed on Ukrainian goods “tramples the World Trade Organization foundation principles”, he added.

Ukraine, Russia and the European Union held consultation about Ukraine’s EU association agreement - technical regulation, market access and how the agreement would affect future trade pacts, Pyatnitsky said.
