Aeroflot rolls out Platinum bonus program

To get to the highest elite level of the airline's bonus program, a customer has to make no less than 50 flights in business class over a year

MOSCOW, January 31. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia’s national flag carrying airline Aeroflot has presented the highest elite level of its Aeroflot Bonus program, the Platinum, to get to which a customer will be expected to make no less than 50 flights in the business class over a period of twelve months or to get no less than 125,000 qualification miles, the press service of Russia’s oldest airline said Friday.

“The Platinum level has been designed as an incentive for the most valuable subscribers to the bonus program and it will enable Aeroflot to offer the options relevant to first class services for the first time in its history,” a spokesman for the airline said.

Holders of Platinum cards will get the services of a personal assistant who will be ready round the clock to assist in making reservations on airlines, as well as at top-rate hotels and restaurants worldwide. They will also be offered other services typically provided by concierge companies.

In addition, this category of customers will have a guaranteed opportunity to make economy and business class reservations 24 hours and 72 hours before the flight respectively.

A customer who will make 250,000 miles a year will be entitled to getting premium tickets for the flights that are fully booked up or where the airline does not have quotas.

Transition to the Platinum level will envision an opportunity to get an extra Aeroflot Bonus gold card, which can be given as a present to any participant in the program.

The Platinum card gives an opportunity to take along two additional pieces of luggage aboard and to obtain a mileage credit for up to 10,000 miles.

Premium tickets can be changed without penalties and their terms include three upgrades a year.

The platinum level goes into effect as of February 1, 2014.
