Ukraine to save about 3 billion dollars due to reduction of Russian gas price

The gas price will be at the level of 268.5 dollars per 1,000 cubic metres, Vice-Premier Yuriy Boyko said

KIEV, December 30, 18:15 /ITAR-TASS/. Ukraine will save about three billion dollars due to reducing the price for Russian gas from January 1, 2014, Vice-Premier Yuriy Boyko told a news conference on Monday.

The gas price will be at the level of 268.5 dollars per 1,000 cubic metres, Boyko said.

Under an agreement between Naftogaz and Russia’s Gazprom, the gas price will be revised every quarter, the vice-premier said.

If the oil price has been reduced to 80 dollars per barrel, “the price will be lower 230 dollars per 1,000 cubic metres”, he said.
