MOSCOW, December 24. /ITAR-TASS/. The Eurasian Economic Union is not meant to be created after the former Soviet Union, Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov told journalists on Tuesday.
“We do not want to revive the Soviet Union, we have clear instruction from our leaders, presidents that we are not creating any quasi-supranational association. It is purely economic format,” he stressed.
The Russian first deputy prime minister reassured that the would-be Eurasian Economic Union would have no political instruments.
