Foreign companies to take part in building roads in the RF

A roadmaking organization chosen as a contractor to build a motor road, can immediately start building operations without busying itself with the need to do preparatory work

MOSCOW, May 8 (Itar-Tass) - The government of the Russian Federation has allowed foreign companies, "possessing modern technological and managerial competence" to participate in tenders and auctions for the construction of roads of Federal and regional jurisdiction, the government press service reported on Wednesday.

"In accordance with the decision, a workpackage to prepare a territory is identified as a separate phase of construction, which will make it possible to draw up project documentation only for this particular range of work and, accordingly, fully to prepare the territory for roadmaking operations, relieving it of all encumbrances," the document points out.

Thereby, a roadmaking organization chosen as a contractor to build a motor road, can immediately start building operations without busying itself with the need to transfer communications, cut plantings and do other preparatory work.

The decision and a detailed reference note for it are placed on the RF government's official website.
