Medvedev calls for export support system in Russia

“Our products are utterly competitive on some markets where they have been traditionally bought and will be bought", he said

MOSCOW, April 29 (Itar-Tass) - Russian exporters badly need a modern system of export support but it should not be a freebie, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said on Monday.

“Our products are utterly competitive on some markets where they have been traditionally bought and will be bought. But as concerns other markets, we are simply not doing what we should,” he noted. In any case, the prime minister stressed, an export support system should be created but it should not offer any freebie. He called along to “perfect guarantee mechanisms, along with the export support system.”
