The advantage of new dishes is that it is made of strained glass that is why there will be no scratches and cuts by using it

MOSCOW, January 5 (Itar-Tass) — In 2013 Russia’s Armed Forces will start using stainless steel and shatter-proof glass dishes at troops’ and fleets’ dining facilities, spokesman to the Defence Ministry’s for material and technical support department Alexander Kolpakov told Itar-Tass on Saturday.

“The advantage of new dishes is that it is made of strained glass that is why there will be no scratches and cuts by using it. Its high-temperature resistance reaches till 260 degrees, remains passive to the aggressive atmosphere and does not catch strange smells. It is washed up lightly, it is hygienic and durable,” Kolpakov explained.

“Stainless steel dishes correspond to all parameters,” he said.

The spokesman said new dishes for servicemen included soup and dinner plates, glasses, as well as steel knives, forks and spoons.
