Republika Srpska will continue to work with Gazprom on gas supplies increase — President

"It is clear to everyone that now working with Russia from the West is complicated. But we will find a way to do it," Milorad Dodik stressed

MOSCOW, March 1. /TASS/. Gazprom and Republika Srpska have managed to maintain cooperation on gas supplies and will continue working to increase them, President of the Republic Milorad Dodik told TASS.

On January 21, at a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and the President of Republika Srpska in Kazan, the parties confirmed their intention to move in this direction.

When asked about the possibility of increasing supplies Dodik replied:

"It is clear to everyone that now working with Russia from the West is complicated. But we will find a way to do it."

"We consider it favorable that Russia understands us, it has remained within the framework of previous agreements that concern us in terms of gas supplies, and we really appreciate this. This gives us a chance for better positions, for offers that are attractive to our economy and population, and we will continue to develop this very system," he added.

Earlier, in an interview with the Izvestia newspaper, Milorad Dodik noted that at the end of last year an agreement was signed with Gazprom for the supply of energy resources until 2025. He did not specify what volumes of supplies and price stipulated by the agreement.
