EKATERINBURG, November 29. /TASS/. The Irbit Motorcycle Plant produced a limited series of Ural motorcycles with quadcopters in side-cars, Executive Director of the Plant Georgy Kurmachev told TASS on Thursday.

A lot of 40 motorcycles was sent to the United States, which accounts for 60% of company’s sales.

"We have just sent a limited version of [Ural] motorcycles for the United States. We installed a quadcopter in a car. When pressing a button, it automatically starts flying, takes pictures and returns to you," Kurmachev said. Forty motorcycles were shipped, he added.

The plant annually makes limited series of motorcycles by the end of the model year, followed by an update in products, the top manager said.

The plant also ended production of a retro model of the Ural motorcycle, which was manufactured for about a decade, Kurmachev said. Its latest version was in khaki color and resembled Soviet motorcycles of 1950s-1960s, he noted.

"We were producing the Retro model for about ten years. We stopped its manufacturing this year because sales were underperforming. It will not be made anymore," he said. The plant produced about a thousand of such motorcycles, the top manager added.

The Irbit Motorcycle Plant making Ural brand motorcycles is the only full-cycle plant of this kind in Russia. It makes 1,200 motorcycles annually, with 90% of them exported worldwide.
