Rosneft interested in integral cooperation with China, says CEO

The sides should expand cooperation in the financial sector, in particular "more actively develop cooperation between the leading banks of the two countries"

BEIJING, November 29. /TASS/. Russia's energy company Rosneft is interested in integral cooperation with Chinese partners, the company's head Igor Sechin said on Thursday.

"Cooperation [between Rosneft and Chinese partners] should encompass more spheres of integration of delivery chains and localization of the most modern equipment, new systemic solutions, as well as include issues of energy digitalization and project financing," Sechin said at the opening ceremony of the 1st Russian-Chinese Energy Forum.

He also noted that the sides should expand cooperation in the financial sector, in particular "more actively develop cooperation between the leading banks of the two countries."

"I think that there are all necessary conditions to take our cooperation to the new level, to make it integral, diversified and spread over those spheres that were not included before," he added.

The 1st Russian-Chinese Energy Forum is held in Beijing. Around 300 representatives of Russian and Chinese energy companies take part in the event. In the framework of the forum, several roundtable meetings will be held on topics of coal and electric power, as well as oil and gas.
