Sedan and limousine versions of Aurus executive class cars will make their European debut during in March 2019

GENEVA, November 12. /TASS/. Organizers of the Geneva International Motor Show (GIMS) welcomes the decision on participation of the Russian Aurus premium vehicle brand and the first show of the limousine and the sedan of this brand at 89th Show to take place on March 7-17, 2019, representative of the Show administration Carole Carrevon told TASS on Monday.

"I have spoken to Mr. Andr· Hefti [GIMS Managing Director - TASS] and he told me that he is very happy about the participation from Aurus during the 89th GIMS next March," Carrevon noted. "He also thinks that the neutral platform that Geneva offers might have been one of the reasons that they choose our Show to make their debut in Europe," she added.

Sedan and limousine versions of Russian-made Aurus executive class cars will make their European debut during the 89th International Motor Show in Geneva in March 2019, the Russian Industry and Trade Ministry’s press service said earlier.

Aurus is a Russian brand of cars for senior officials. The name combines the two words Aurus: "aurum" (a Latin word for "gold") and "Russia." The car was designed as part of the Cortege project, implemented by NAMI (Central Scientific Research Automobile and Automotive Engines Institute) in Moscow, Russia, since 2013.

Aurus cars have been unveiled to the public twice earlier this year. First, an Aurus limousine was used during the inauguration of Russian President Vladimir Putin on May 2018. Then, the cars were put on display during the Moscow International Auto Salon on August 29, 2018.
