MOSCOW, November 2. /TASS/. Prince Michael of Kent has paid a visit to Moscow to attend the Russian-UK investment forum headlined "Russia TALK," diplomatic sources have told TASS.

Prince Michael of Kent, who is a paternal first cousin of Queen Elizabeth II, is the patron of the Russo-British Chamber of Commerce.

According to the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which organized Russia TALK jointly with the Russo-British Chamber of Commerce, Prince Michael delivered a welcome speech to the forum’s participants on Thursday. He said that despite the current difficulties in bilateral relations, the Russo-British Chamber of Commerce continues to support and strengthen business ties between the two states.

Russia TALK was also attended by UK Ambassador to Moscow Laurie Bristow.

According to TASS sources, Prince Michael of Kent’s visit was over and he has already left the Russian capital.

Prince Michael regularly visits Russia, primarily to attend commemorative events for the family of Russia’s last Czar Nicholas II, whose wife was a Royal descendant of Queen Victoria and King Christian IX. During such visits, Prince Michael chooses to avoid public attention.
