EKATERINBURG, August 3. /TASS/. Rosatom considers an opportunity of taking part in tenders for construction of nuclear power plants (NPP) blocks in the Czech Republic, Chief Executive Officer of the Russian state-run corporation Alexei Likhachev told reporters on Friday.
"Certainly, we plan, most probably in alliances," the top manager said.
There are two nuclear power plants currently at service in the Czech Republic. Rosatom expects that tenders for construction of new power units in the country will be announced shortly, Likhachev said last year.
Construction of the Paks-2 NPP in Hungary is not actual at the moment, the top manager said. "A license should be obtained at first. This is not an actual matter; licensing of this design is currently underway. As soon we get the license from the Hungarian regulator, the situation with the first concrete will then become clear," he noted.
