Russia wins stage 5 of Gunsmith Master contest at 2018 International Army Games

The Gunsmith Master contest is being held in Russia’s Penza region in period from July 29 through August 5

PENZA, August 5. /TASS/. Russia’s team has won the fifth stage of the Gunsmith Master contest at the 2018 International Army Games, the tournament’s press center said on Sunday.

"The Russian team won stage 5 of the contest. Teams from Kazakhstan and China were second and third, respectively," the press center said.

The Gunsmith Master contest is being held in Russia’s Penza region in period from July 29 through August 5. Teams from Russia, Armenia, Iran, China, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan are taking part. Along with howitzer and multiple missile launcher system maintenance stages, the contest program includes an arms biathlon relay race and a relay race of maintenance platoons.

The 4th International Army Games are being held on 24 training grounds in seven countries in a period from July 28 through August 11. Taking part are 189 teams from 32 world nations. The program includes competitions in 28 disciplines.
