SOFIA, June 29 (Itar-Tass) - About 700 people have gathered in Sofia to organise protest actions in support for the resignation of the Bulgarian government led by Plamen Oresarski.

Despite the rainfall, the protesters marched along the city’s streets. Police blocked the traffic on certain sections of the roads to ensure security of protesters. No violations of law and order have been reported.

Earlier, several dozens of supports of the Bulgarian government gathered near the National Palace of Culture. They called for giving 100 days to allow the government to fulfil the pre-election promises.

Protest actions were conditioned by the fact that Delyan Peevski of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms had been appointed as head of the State Agency for National Security on June 14. The parliament voted for the rejection of his appointment on June 19. Despite all these facts, protest actions have continued for more than two weeks.
