MOSCOW, May 20 (Itar-Tass) - Three gunmen, who were masterminding a terrorist act in Moscow, are neutralized in the Moscow Region on Monday. “When checking the detective information that the group of three gunmen were masterminding a terrorist act in Moscow the Federal Security Service detected the whereabouts of the bandits in a house in Orekhovo-Zuyevo,” a representative of the National Anti-Terrorism Committee told Itar-Tass on Monday.

All bandits are “Russian citizens, who arrived from the Afghan-Pakistani region, where they were passing the combat training and were getting ready to commit a terrorist act,” the representative said.

“In an active special operation the bandits were blocked, but opened fire in retaliation to the demands to surrender. In a brief shootout two of them were destroyed and one more was detained,” the representative added.
